The Algonquin Barons Annual Nordic Ski Club Cross Country Invitational is one of the longest running and biggest cross country events in Northern Ontario. Now in it’s 48th year, the Barons XC is host to an average of 1000-2500 cross country athletes from all points.

You must enter YOUR SCHOOL with the names of your runners on the site as of Monday the 5th of September until 5:30 pm on Monday the 18th. NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THIS DATE! You will still be asked to pay should you need to scratch any entries after this time. Thank you for your cooperation.
The entry fee is $4.00 per competitor for intermediate schools and $5.00per competitor for high schools.
Change rooms and showers are available at ESC Algonquin (10 km from the race site).
There will be a snack bar (sports drinks, popcorn, baked chips and hotrods) and portable toilets at the race site.
The winner of each race will receive a medal. The 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th place finishers will receive ribbons. These will be awarded immediately after the race.
There will be medallions for the FOUR (4) top finishers on the winning team. These will be awarded as soon as possible after every race.
Teams will score the first 4 team members. There is no maximum on the number of team members.

- We have added a third grade category. Grade 3 students will be running with the grade 4 students
- The race will be held on grass, gravel and asphalt. No spikes/cleats are allowed.
